Northern District Chinese Christian Church Sydney (NDCCCS) is an inter-denominational church which has been serving the Marsfield / Epping community for over 30 years. We have Sunday services which meet in English, Cantonese and Mandarin in two locations – with regular attendance of around 120 in the English service, 400 in Cantonese service, 50 in Mandarin service and more than 100 children.
English Pastor
We are looking for an English Pastor who would be keen to serve with our English congregation. The English Pastor would be actively involved in teaching and caring, as well as preaching as appropriate. They will also work closely with English congregation ministers and leaders in thinking through and implementing discipleship among the congregation.
ESSENTIAL
Recognised theological qualifications in Australia
An evangelical approach to the bible, Christian doctrine, and ministry
A deep personal relationship with Christ and reliance on his Spirit for wisdom and strength
Passionate to preach God's word faithfully and desire to grow in bible exposition and application
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Demonstrated experience in working with highschoolers, young workers or university students is advantageous
Capacity to work as part of the pastoral team
Sensitive to different cultural backgrounds of church members and the community around us
There is room to tailor the position to the skills, giftedness, and ministry interests of the successful applicant.
