Meet our pastors
David Truong

David is the Acting Senior Minister of Northern District Chinese Christian Church, Sydney ("ND church"). His main responsibilities include preaching, teaching and pastoral caring. His objective is to see ND church continue to grow under God’s sovereign leadership in becoming a Christ centred, gospel focused and grace oriented church.

David was appointed pastor of ND Church in 2009 upon graduation from Morling Theological College with a Master of Divinity degree and Graduate Diploma of Theology.

Prior to joining ND Church, David worked in a consulting firm as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a Bachelor of Building Construction Management (UNSW) and AAIQS.

David is married to Gigi and they have two children, Isaac and Valarie. He enjoys playing tennis, table tennis, volleyball, swimming and hiking.

Danny Wong

Danny Wong graduated from the UNSW with a Bachelor of Computer Science.

After working as a computer programmer, Danny studied theology and graduated from the Hong Kong Alliance Bible Seminary with a Master of Divinity. Then Danny served in Hong Kong Christian and Missionary Alliance Oi Man Church as a pastor and was ordained.

Danny married to Eva and they have two daughters, Shaphir and Carissa.

Danny enjoys reading, fishing and sports, such as soccer, table tennis, badminton, and hiking.

Doug Fyfe

Doug joined NDCCCS in 2012, and he is the English Pastor, responsible for overseeing our two English services, both our 5pm Church on the Boundary (COB) and our 11.45am English service. His main areas of ministry are in teaching, preaching, training and discipleship.

Doug graduated from Moore Theological College with a Bachelor of Divinity, and during his time there served as a student minister at St Albans Lindfield, St Andrews Cathedral and Wild Street Church Maroubra. Prior to college he spent two years as a ministry trainee both with Wild Street and Campus Bible Study at UNSW. He is currently working towards a Masters in Theology, also at Moore College.

He grew up in Canberra, spent a year as an exchange student in Germany, completed a Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics in Melbourne and finally ended up in Sydney, working in several hospitals.

He is married to Jayme, whom he met while studying at college, and they have two young sons. Doug likes snowboarding, foreign films and books.

Glen Culling

Glen has been serving the English congregation of NDCCCS as Youth Pastor since 2016. He is responsible for high school ministry, focussing on discipleship, teaching and training.

Glen graduated from the Baptist Theological College of Southern Africa with a Bachelor of Theology. During that time, Glen interned at the Randburg Baptist Church in Johannesburg. Before college, Glen spent a few months doing ministry in Madagascar.

Glen was born in Durban, South Africa. He spent most of his childhood in Johannesburg, worked as a Client Administration Officer and Finance Manager before deciding to enter ministry formally in 2015.
Glen enjoys reading, blunt humour, TV series, guitar and a good game of cricket.

Eva Wong
Eva Wong joined NDCCCS as a part-time pastor for Children Ministry in 2016. She had served in Junior Ministry and Children Ministry at Kowloon City Baptist Church of Hong Kong for 12 years. She graduated from Hong Kong Alliance Bible Seminary with a Bachelor of Theology and a Master of Christian Ministry. Prior to that, Eva studied Business Studies and graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She had worked in the Global Custody Department of a bank as a supervisor.

Eva is married to Danny Wong and they have two daughters, Shaphir and Carissa. Eva loves music, singing, storytelling, cycling and playing badminton.
